Review: Calculated Risk

Calculated Risk
by Elaine Raco Chase
Contemporary Romance
Calculated Risk

Calculated Risk is a re-release of one of my favorite romances in the eighties. Elaine Raco was one of the reasons I never let my Silhouette Desire subscription run out. When I found out that she had updated and re-released these titles I just had to re-read them again. I cannot tell you how many times I read Calculated Risk and even now it is just as good as it was the first time around.

Stevie Brandt is an owner of one of the top music talent firms in Nashville and is surprised when
confronted by an angry man accusing her of trying to seduce his teenage son. Despite the accusations she finds herself attacted to the teens  father Quintin Ward.

Quintin convinces Stevie to pretend she returns the feelings in the hope that if she is a horrible date that his son Robbie would soon lose the attraction. But his feelings for Stevie grows by the day.

Calculated Risk is one of those books that does stand the test of time. I am so glad I have a copy again and this time in my laptop so that I can read it again, and again like I used to.

  1. Barb! Thanks for the great review and comments..it was great to connect up with a Silhouette Desire fan from all those years ago...but we age backward right!

  2. Wonderful review--and dead on. Elaine Raco Chase's books are witty and sexy and so worth the read!
